Dulyachot Cholaseuk's
Personal Interest
Periodically, I do logo design as a hobby. Some
got recognized, some didn't. My brain usually works well only when I do things
for free, so don't hire me. Here are a few works that have been used by my
workplace.

Official logo of the 22nd Conference of
Mechanical Engineering Network of Thailand (ME-NETT 22), October 2008. The
logo represent dynamic and energy of our network. |
Car park sticker for Faculty of Engineering,
2007. Internal gearing means
both gears turn in the same direction which represents 'HARMONY'. A
pinnion of democracy drives the faculty and university, provides mechanical
advantage of 2:1 (I didn't put in the Hunting tooth). |
Temporary logo of the Twinning Engineering
Programmes and Thammasat English Program of Engineering, 2006. White and
orange give vibrance feeling of the evergrowing programs. |

Mechanical Engineering
Department
Thammasat University - ME-TU Logo
Black and yellow represent 'ALERT' or 'SAFETY' and at the same time
'practical industrial application'. Square shape reflect 'ROBUSTNESS',
'PRECISION' and 'HONESTY' |
This one for the firse
TSME-ICOME
conference. I just like streamlines. They represent fluid
dynamic, which is an art created by blending nature and engineering. |
These two are experimental designs with
streamlines. |
I also do some graphic works for webpage.
Orange is not my favorite color, but all designs turned out to be in
orange-tone, some how. It may be the influence of Thammsat's symbolic colors,
Yellow-Red.
In 2011, TU's Rector and the Dean
of Engineering agreed to launch the new Automotive Engineering Program at Pattaya
Campus. Well, apart from designing the curriculum and all the technical issues
that I had to face, there was the usual job: design new website, logo, brochure
etc. The following designs were used in 2012-2013
In April of 2013, I went to Geneva
to present Amphitrike, an invention from CED2 lab. Two A0 posters
were designed from the information given by students who ran the project. The invention
was awarded siver medal.
Later in October 2013, I was assigned to design a cover for ISEEE3 book of abstract. A few designs were presented to the committee, they chose the yellow version. Well, I personally like the white one.
ME-TU hosted the TSME-ICOME conference in 2018.
Again, I designed the cover for the book of abstracts. This time I used photos,
one from my Huahin trip and another from a demo gear set. The gear made it to
the final print.
Another hobby that I've been doing since I can
remember is sketching. I'm quite skillfull in this. Here are a few of sketches.
All of them are on A4 sheets. The first fives were drawn by pen during various
meetings, when people discussed nonsense topics.
I decided to use pencil sketches in my
new textbook, "Engineering Piping System Design", to avoid copyright
issues. They are not perfect but it should be enough to provide basic
understanding.
Long time ago I practiced painting and I plan
to
do it again after retirement.
I like photography, but never seem to be good at it. A good camera phone is
sufficient for my limited skill.
Here are some of my photos, taken with Nokia 808:
In 2014, I bought Sony RX-10, a large sensor
zoom camera followed by a discount Sony A6000 in 2017 with various lenses. Hopefully I can take
some decent photographs in the future. My current targets are insects around my
house. With Marumi +5 Acromat filter on Sigma 60mmF2.8, I can get quite close to
them. They are amazing.
I collect many things, mostly for fun in short term, such as toys,
anime figures, die-cast model cars, rc trucks, watches, knives,
skates, science instruments etc. I was into
mountain bicycle once and found that it's very unfriendly to the wallet, luckily I quit.
However, in 2014, new problem arrived,...folding bicycles. Reducing the weight
using carbon fiber, Titanium and Aluminum aftermarket parts dried my wallet,...
again. As of 2017, my ride weight 8 kg.
My Transformers toy collection keep growing. As of 2018,
I have more robots than the shelves can handle, and still, many more to come.
The only solution is to get a bigger house.
